Hello guys!Hans8V schreef:viewtopic.php?f=9&t=496&hilit=asbak+ver ... =100#p1567 ....
The horn worked nicely at the MOT.
The warning light did stay away as well.
Though it does surface and then goes away again.
I have changed bulbs for the lighters both front and rear.
I still have no light in the front lighter after I have changed though.
I will see if I find out why the light does not work in the front lighter.
Anyway, the MOT did go well. The exhaust fumes where good and the brakes as well!
Thanks for your tips guys!
Next week I will start to fix the rust and look further on the gremlins

Thanks Maarten!Maarten-Jan schreef:Congratulations! First hurdle taken!
The rear spoiler does not move either, so that's one of the gremlins I need to look at.
Looking forward to using the car as well now!

Been quiet from lately, mostly because I have been busy removing the rust on the 8.32.CharlieA schreef:Thanks Maarten!Maarten-Jan schreef:Congratulations! First hurdle taken!

The rear end seems to rust rather extensively, so will be a bit more work than anticipated.
Underneath the brackets for the rear suspension arms there was quite a bit of rust.
Area around the rear tow hook and wheel arches all are in pretty bad nick.
Known problem with these cars?
Know my way around a welder and an angle grinder, plus a good friend is a pro body man, so it will be good when finished. Anyone want some pictures of the process, please tell.
Quick question, many of the gauges and the window wiper stops working and suddenly comes back.
Do they share fuse\relay or something? Seem to go at the same time.
Where do I find the right fuse and relay?
Appreciate your help!
Re: 8.32 Electrical issues
Hello guys!
8.32 going to the paint shop next week! Finally!
Will post pictures of the work and the result later.
Had a quick look at some of the electrical issues today.
1. The wipers and instrument problem was caused by bad contact at the fuse. Twisted the legs on the fuse slightly and all is well.
2. The rear spoiler does not work. We tried to put power directly to the spoiler and it goes up and down like a champ. Moves smooth and nicely. There is no power coming at all to the spoiler. The earth seems to be there, but no power. We where hoping to search more on this tomorrow, hope someone can shed some light on how the system works. The spoiler goes up or down when +- is put on it. When reversed it goes the other way. But, something must be watching the power resistance or something and cuts power when the spoiler has reached the end of it's travel. Hope someone can enlighten us!
Thanks!

Sorry for asking more questions though, the Google translate is rather unclear.
I understand that they change the internals of the switch.
What is unclear to me, is that if the problem is the switch itself, or some other part of the system.
I guess power goes to the switch, and the switch just switches polarization? Is this correct?
Inbetween the switch and the spoiler, there probably is something cuts power when the resistance is high. Is this correct?
Just want to understand the system before I start the search!
Appreaciate the help guys!
