Hi all, especially those SW owners here.
I need to take off the roof rails/trim on my Thema SW , has anyone done this?
If so, how is it done?

Regards
Mark

I've done it. You have to remove the complete roof lining. After removal you will see the nuts and bolts that hold the roof bars.

Thank you again Maarten-Jan,
The headlining has to come out at some point so will do 2 jobs in one.

Just to advise you; the front bars and the rear mount together at 1 nut. First remove all the nuts and then carefully remove the bars. They connect on the same bolt at the end of the rear doors. It's easy to damage paint! Whenever possible mount new rubber seals as the roof may become leaky after installing.

Thank you for those tips, are seals available?
Also does the front sunroof drain holes have restrictors in them and where do they exit the body?
As have tried to unblock them, front seats getting very wet

The hoses from the front of your sunroof end up somewhere close to your fire wall. It's the compartment were is also your Ventilator, ac-stuff etc. 1 left and 1 right. They are difficult to trace. At the end of the hoses there is some kind of a small plastic membrane......relocate these to your closest garbage can.
