I don't recognize it.... and I have had all parts of Thema's in my hands, several times....
Thank you.
Hmm..perhaps it's so easy that it's a part that doesn't belong to the car at all. There were a few parts that were in an unmarked plastic bag. I could locate all of them from around the pedals though. :)

Those parts are mounted on top of your steering box (connection steering axle).

I'll have a look there :)

Guess it's supposed to be fitted like this - anyway...now it is. Found a similar one in the other end of the steering axle too compare with :)

New question: the return fuel hose that goes from the fuel pressure accumulator back to the fuel tank? Any recommendations for a replacement hose? Been to hydraulic and car parts shops and always the same answer: "Nope, can't help you".
I guess that it's low pressure on that side...so perhaps a fuel hose from a motorcycle might work?

8-)

It's no pressure at all. If the diaphragm from the accumulator is broken it will return the fuel back into the fuel tank instead of on the street. If there is any fuel coming out of that hose it means that the accumulator is broken (which they all will sooner or later)

Thank you. I'm not sure if there is any fuel coming that way. But I'll bet it is....after 30 years...why should it not? :)
By the way. This seems to be nice forum - with a lot of expertise. :)

You can check it... when the car has to build up fuel pressure during start, it will start after some time. If the car starts immediately the fuel pressure has been retained and the accumulator works. Via Ebay.de you can buy these accumulators. Prices differ a lot... a standard Mercedes accumulator will also fit!

Thank you for your advise. At this time - my first priority to make it start at all. :)
Replaced fuel pump, filter and almost all fuel hoses. So now it (probably) doesn't leak fuel.
Checking for vacuum leaks at the moment. Know from a 8.32 I owned 10 years ago how sensitive it is for leaks. A small crack, almost invisible, on a vacuum hose made it impossible to start.

It runs great on starting fluid by the way...but it's a bit unpractical...and expensive :D
